My Highlights are growing out and i want natural hair so I don't have to dye it anymore?

I have some natural highlights and i added some with the box that you use at home. Now my highlights are growing out and my hair does not have as many natural highlights. I now have a line basically about an inch from my head of where they stop and then my hair is darker (between my scalp and highlights only about an inch of darker hair-roots) I want my hair to be natural so that i don't have to keep dying it (im afraid if i dye it it will not turn out the color of my actual hairand i would have teh same problem when my hair grows again) but i would like for it to blend in. Can anyone help?

use a color glaze that's opposite the color of ur highlights.. if ur highlights are blonde-ish then use a brown glaze... if its brown or any other dark color then use a blonde one...

if u're afraid the glaze will make your whole head darker or lighter.. then use a mascara wand to apply the glaze in areas where the highlights are placed... use the glaze in about 5 times and it should darken or lighten your current highlights...

Like i said b4 i have blonde hair and it is brown underneathe. I am thinking of going a bit darker like maybe a honey colour. I've been blonde all my life but as i got older my hair got a little darker blonde. I feel like a change and the blonde takes alot to keep it healthy and from breaking. Use a semi-permanent hair color which is a dark blond or lightest brown. (colors tend to look darker than expected from the swatches you see.)

Apply it all over or have a stylist do it.

It is more gentle on your already processed blond hair and should hold pretty well, because it will be somewhat porous.

Buy a shade lighter than what you want. Hair color always comes out darker thatn what you see on the box. And do a strand test first to see if you like it. I would go for a carmel color. What color are your eyes?

I hav long dark brown, probably a little darker than vanessa's is, in this picture but not as long and it is layered and i hav a side fringe too! i was thinking of gettin blonde underneath my hair, a lil blonder than in this pic, i have never died it before but its my 21st comin up and id like a bit of a change!

wat do u's think of it and would it be hard to get out when i either dont like it or get bored of it

Personally i dont think it is a good idea, but if you want a change get one of those wash in, wash out ones and have an experiment. If it goes well, then have it done, if not then you can choose another.

Also my sister, has the same kind of hair colour as Vanessa and she died it a really warm reddy, brown colour and it looked amazing!!! Look around for other hair colours that you like or think will suit you. Good Luck!

If you have never dyed your hair don't start. It ruins you hair and you have to keep up with it constantly. It not only gets tiring conditioning and maintaining it's also expensive.

Blonde peek-a-boo highlights would make you unique to all those girls with black or brown, and personally, I think it would look much prettier. Ashlee Simpson had that light brown bob and underneath she had blonde peek-a-boo highlights, there's a link under sources if you want to see what I'm talking about. There aren't a lot of pics of that kind of coloring so go for it. You could also do copper or red, any color you would use to traditionally highlight your hair would probably work and you can use the samples from your salon and place them on top of each other or under your hair to see what it would look like. As you can see, I've coloured my hair dark brown before, but now I've got 4-5 inches of pure black roots.

I have an appointment with my hair dresser on Tuesday, and I REALLY don't want to ask her - "What do YOU think I should do?" Just seems so pathetic, doesn't it?

I want to keep my hair long, but otherwise I'm open to all suggestions of how to colour, highlight and cut my hair. I'm sick of looking the same! (I'm in my mid-twenties, though, so nothing REALLY wild, please.)

Well I also have dark brown hair, I usually use burgendy or deep red colors it makes my hair unique and most people compliment on it. I usually use Feria color or try herbal essences. Good luck and have fun.

I think you should dye it a deep burgundy red i had the same problems with my roots and with that kinda of color you can't really tell where there at ! and the hair cut you should do long and layered but make sure you also get it thinned out it looks better that way and maybe some long bangs like just underneath your eyes and maybe to the side that would be soo cute ! well i hope my idea works for ya :)

i have dark brown hair and when i have my hair colored i have had red and blonde's put in together with the foils and when it is done the red stands out it looks amazing, only downside is the red fades quicker than the blonde so needs doing every 6-8 weeks. happy hair cut

do not use feria on your hair it has metallic dyes in it that will ruin your hair . when u put professional color ( what u get in a salon) it will literally make ur hair feel like wet spagetti or worse just fall out period. I suggest maybe some carmel highlites or red highlights it looks awesome and they are great fall colors
