I have pale skin and blue eyes and have naturally mousey blonde hair, I started off with highlights and now I get it dyed platinum because the shade suits my skin colour. I would get some highlights to brighten your hairstyle up and perhaps get some layers put in. Its amazing how much a new hairstyle can change the way you feel. If you are unsure you can always go in and have a consultation with a stylist and see what they think would suit you.

Yo :) I think you should get hylights. Since your eyes are blue and your normal hair color is brown you should hylight it with the reddish brownish color and a little dirty blonde because I have a friend that is like you and she has her hair highlighted that color. A lighter shade of brown that what your hair naturally is would look nice, with some coppery redish highlights. If you want to dye your hair an extreem coulor then i'ld go for some highlights first. Also all red dyes will suit most people with brown hair.

Have a mixture of copper and a golden blonde keep these a nice thin streak and this willl lessen regrowth also just have the golden blonde around the front near your face this creates a nice sunkissed look which is far more flattering than a full head colour to start off with .

If your eyebrows are dark, then I wouldn't suggest going bleach blonde! Highlights are probably your best bet, as they lighten hair as significantly, or as subtley as you want.

what the chocolate monster said. All brown with a good haircut and spikes looks better given your facial features and skin tone. Also consider letting your hair grow to shoulder length. Takes time and is a pain to take care of but looks good on most guys.

But I have black hair with kinda blond highlights, when they did the highlights, since I have so many other colors underneath, its turned awesome. so I have reddish, dark brown, light brown, and blond throughout the black. Hey, my names Tara and I totally think layers and lowlights would look amazing, especially if your going for more of an edgier look. But i would swoop the bangs to either side if your going to get low lights. I work at a salon so i understand why your worried but dont be, you can always undo hair color but i would suggest finding a picture of a cut you like and bringing it in then having an actual conversation about it with your hairstylist so you know you will get what you want. Also i have gone from natural bright blonde to dark brown last winter and ive had low lights, darker underneath lighter on top, basically everything so if you need anymore advice let me know! i hope ive helped!

Im a hairdresser and I dont think the color you chose will do much cause your hair is darker.

If you want to go to a brown, sorry but u have to lighten your hair with a gentle cleanser or with a light bleach, then put the 5N through it. by the way I dont reccommend u doin it your self cause you may leave the lightning cleanser on for too long and then u may ruin your hair.

You shouldn't use this product. If you're hair is naturally dark you won't be able to lighten it wth that. The only way to really lighten dark hair is to bleach it and then dye it. If you use it you just won't see a difference. I have dark hair and have tryed this it doesn't work. I also worked in salon, where people have wanted to go lighter and the stylist says that's not possible without lightening your hair first.

highlights won't make you look washed out. They will actually accentuate your hair and skin and make them more vibrant. Just don't do really light blonde hightlights, something in the gold tones.

Black will probably be a weird contrast. Why not dark brown instead? Red would probably look better out of your suggestions.

However instead of highlights maybe you should opt for lowlights, which are not as obvious because they are not on the top layers of your hair, and then you don't have to worry about your hair looking streaky or the roots looking bad. Make sure to get them done professionally, too--home highlighting kits often look very cheap and bad.

I think you should highlight your hair blood red. I have pitch black curly hair, and trust me, it won't look good with blonde. No offense. If a bright color mixes into a pitch black color, it would look very odd. Think about lime green with black, yeah it's a cool combo, but not on someones hair....

Red is a color that tends to bleed. It may bleed into your blond and turn it pinkish in some places, that would look wrong. And black would look okay if you did small pieces, not huge chunks. But keep in mind you'll have to always be redying to upkeep it. OR you could do your underneigh layer a dark brown. That would look so cool!

I would not recommend either of these colours for a natural blond hair colour. Try highlights of different shades of Blond maybe honey and caramel. The darkest I would go would be a light warm brown but mainly on the underneath layers. blond and black would only really work if you were looking for a very extreme look but I think this would only work well if the blonde was a white peroxide blonde with only one or two well placed highlights to accentuate the style. Warning!!!!! always go to a professional salon leave jobs like this to the experts. DIY this at your peril.

No, I don't have any pictures, but if you don't want to take the chance of it looking bad I would get it professionally done. At home kits are rather iffy, if you're not willing for it to accidentally turn out wrong.

You can do a medium to dark blond highlight. I agree that you should have it done professionally. If it is too bright for you you can ask them to mix in lowlights as well.

I googled picture but they were hard to find. If I were you I would get strawberry blonde highlights... Just a shade lighter than your natural hair color so they look better and less bold. However, since your hair is red, highlighting it with blonde die would probably give you the same effect.

DEFINITELY get it done in a salon. They can custom make the die so it's exactly the way you want it, and it'll look much more healthy. It's also better for your hair.

If you're doing this at home the best thing to use for red hair is a streaking kit like boots own make or superdrugs own make, they are the best. Do a strand test first then you'll see the colour before u do your hair and decide if it's what you want.

If you go to the hairdresser they would charge about 鎷?0 plus and will do a strand test for you and you can choose your colour or they can say what will best suit you.

To answer your question...yes it would look great. But think of the process and what your putting your through to get it blonde and caramel. As a hairstylist...I really wouldn't recommend it just for the simple fact that you will be doing the worst kind of damage to your hair. Taking it form a 1(black) to a 10(blonde) is severe damage. If it's something that you really want to do...find a great hairstylist tin your area. Have a consultation. get some treatment. Reconstruct the hair. And gradually add the highlights. Use a semi-permanent hair color which is a dark blond or lightest brown. (colors tend to look darker than expected from the swatches you see.)

Apply it all over or have a stylist do it.

It is more gentle on your already processed blond hair and should hold pretty well, because it will be somewhat porous.

Well, I think highlights on a guy is a little questionable. But I live in the mid-west. Guys usually don't do that around here. One of my friends just moved to Vegas and got them there and he's getting great feedback (not from his friends here), but keep in mind his hair is short.

The great thing about color is you can change it. If you hate it or it looks to gay you can always change it.

Besides, if you don't like your hair long then cut it. I think men look best in short hair styles. People may just say they like it best because that's what they are familiar with.

OMG! NO! That will burn your scalp!

If you want to bleach your hair i would recommend you to go to a beauty supply store like Sallys and Ask for a bleaching kit. Be careful though because bleach tends to bleed on hair if you don't know how to apply it. I would probably recommend you to go to a Salon. Because you probably end up spending more doing it your self than paying someone( since you say that you only want a few.) Other wise you'll end up paying more to get it fix if something is to go wrong.good luck !

Well my hair is just above my shoulders and I am fully African American. I have never had a perm only a press to get my hair straight. I heard that if I put any kind of chemical on my hair that I would break off and become considerably shorter. Well it will only hurt your hair if you perm and color your hair. There are many African-American products to for hair. You should try to look at places like Sally's and others.

prefer not to use makeup coz it harms ur skin..at this age... be natural... put a slice of potato under ur eye to keep those dark cirlces behind... study in appropriate light to avoid dark cirlces... drink loads of water... and smile:)

as for the dark circles, it could be allergies. to cover dark circles use physicians formula yellow concealer under the eye then use powder foundation over it. blend well. another thing that offsets the dark circles light neutral eye shadow with a little shimmer and a little mascara. eye liner will make dark circles look even worse. use a little bronzer as blush. a cut that works well with most face shapes is a few long layers this works with curly or straight hair.

You'd look really good with medium to light blonde highlights. Dont go for the chunky look, it doesnt look natural, especially when it starts to grow out. If your getting it done professionally, see if you can get a few red highlights added.

i don't think blonde would be a good idea..it will look fake and be high maintenance..i am thinking of more red tones should be added to your hair..i can see your haircolor right now has an ash tone to it...the red would balance it out..you could do highlights..but they often look fake unless they are very subtle...so i am thinking of an all over color...i would also love to see your hair off your face...don't hide behind your hair...show us your pretty face...perhaps you could get some layers in the front to frame you face....that would look very pretty on you...it would show off your great features...good luck hope i helped

the straightener wont ruin your highlights, but it could dry it out.

if you straighten your hair all the time, chances are you hair is dry to begin with. when you highlight your hair, 90% of the time you need to use bleach, which is damaging to the hair as well. if you straighten AFTER getting your hair highlighted, you could fry your hair.

if you dont already, you MUST use products when you blow-dry and/or straighten your hair! a leave-in conditioner or heat protector will burn off before your hair burns off. you need something to protect your hair from the heat, because heat is one of the most damaging things you do to your hair. weekly deep conditioning treatments will help add more moisture too, and a daily moisturizer should be used.

depends on the volume of peroxide used.....if you bleached your hair.....NO....your hair will melt and fall off. If you used a color then you need to find out if they used 20, 30, or 40 volume peroxide. 20 volume is safe to perm and straighten over...that is if the color did not contain any metallic salts.

no it wont ruin it bc i had blonde highlights in my brown hair and i use to go get my hair straight and it doesnt do anything to the highlights. your highlights will only grow out when ur hair grows. when ur hair grows longer or if u get ur hair cut then u will lose ur highlights more often

If he did, and if you are a returning customer... and he just messed up, I don't think you should have to pay him. He over processed you. Well... Did he mess them up. If so, then NO, you shouldnt tip him if you already did once. He messed them up and I guarantee, they are STILL not going to turn out how you want them. He is going to apply a toner to them, which will darken them. Most likely to the point of where you cant even see what he's done to begin with. Everytime I've had a stylist mess up something, they use a toner and pretty much make my hair look like i didnt have anything done. Even my husband cant tell they did anything at all and it still cost like 100 dollars. Dont tip again.

someone told me to use baking soda and water to wash the color off in these kinds of situations, but i personally would just put a subtle brown dye on top of it. one of those natural ones that only dye a little, so that you still have highlights but they're not as light.

No way! I actually had to put a stop pay on a check once because my hair was so awful looking. It was my first time to try a new person out and for some reason she just didn't show up to work so since I was going out of town in 2 days I let another person do it. Big mistake! I went elsewhere to get it fixed so since I did have to pay for that I did a stop pay on my other check. If they mess up then they should fix it for free--you already paid and tipped for what you wanted and didn't get.

Chlorine and color just don't mix and never will on your hair.....I would cut all the damage off.....until then, the best new product out is called S factor by TIGI....smoothing conditioner , shines and re-hydrates. Another fabulous product is made by Pureology. I also have L'Oreal Professionnel called intense repair. I am sure you can get at many salons or online. The same happened to me. I went back to natural. I am taking vitamins. One is multi vitamins and the other is vitamins for the hair, nails and skin. I go to walmart and buy the vitamins. You can also drink water and eat a lot of protien. Eat healthy. Trim your hair every 6 weeks.

Put a non permanent color on that matches your color and it should make it look good. Then you may have to have it cut when that washes out. But, it will give you some time. good luch.

bleach is not a dye...its completely removed the pigment or melanin from your hair...so you're going to have to put a toner over that...any color will cover the bleach...be careful with black though...it tends to turn green.

I think your hair looks fine like it is. Highlights are only going to dry it out a loooot more. However I do think if you are going to do it, that burgundy or reddish colored highlights would look nice on your hair color and type. I would stick with a very thin weave for your first time. If you like it, then you could always go chunkier on the highlights. Much much easier to go chunkier than thiner!

Chlorine and color just don't mix and never will on your hair.....I would cut all the damage off.....until then, the best new product out is called S factor by TIGI....smoothing conditioner , shines and re-hydrates. It could be from the drugs, ask your doctor if he/she knows. It could also be from the shock/trauma that your body has gone through because of the surgeries and the stay in the hospital. I spent two months last year in the hospital, underwent 3 surgeries and lost most of my hair as a result due to the stress, both emotional and physical. It's just now starting to get back to its normal thickness, a year later!

I like your hair now, and the other one looks kinda fake. I suggest you put some lemon juice in your hair and then go out in the sun for like an hour and your highlights will stand out and look natural. Also, you could put some vineger in your shampoo and wash it into your hair, rinse, then go out in the sun to dry it. I prefer this because you will make your highlights stand out, yet it still looks natural. Redheaded people stand out. They are unique. Why would you wanna follow the crowd?

Black will probably be a weird contrast. Why not dark brown instead? Red would probably look better out of your suggestions.

However instead of highlights maybe you should opt for lowlights, which are not as obvious because they are not on the top layers of your hair, and then you don't have to worry about your hair looking streaky or the roots looking bad. Make sure to get them done professionally, too--home highlighting kits often look very cheap and bad.

I think you should highlight your hair blood red. I have pitch black curly hair, and trust me, it won't look good with blonde. No offense. If a bright color mixes into a pitch black color, it would look very odd. Think about lime green with black, yeah it's a cool combo, but not on someones hair....

Red is a color that tends to bleed. It may bleed into your blond and turn it pinkish in some places, that would look wrong. And black would look okay if you did small pieces, not huge chunks. But keep in mind you'll have to always be redying to upkeep it. OR you could do your underneigh layer a dark brown. That would look so cool!

I would not recommend either of these colours for a natural blond hair colour. Try highlights of different shades of Blond maybe honey and caramel. The darkest I would go would be a light warm brown but mainly on the underneath layers. blond and black would only really work if you were looking for a very extreme look but I think this would only work well if the blonde was a white peroxide blonde with only one or two well placed highlights to accentuate the style. Warning!!!!! always go to a professional salon leave jobs like this to the experts. DIY this at your peril.

Hi! I have been getting my hair highlighted with bleach blonde highlights for the past 4 years or so. I haven't had any true problems of breakage. My sister is a beautician. The thing is that breakage all depends on the condition of your hair before highlighting and how well you take care of it after. Highlights aren't for everyone. If your hair is brittle and breaks before dying then it's definitely not a good idea to highlight it. If you get relaxers you want to make sure you get your highlights no less than 2 weeks after your relaxer and get your next one 2 weeks after you get your highlights. This prevents your hair from being a chemical disaster! After you get your highlights you want to make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner and a good leave-in conditioner. I usually use Cream-of-Nature shampoo and conditioner and IC leave-in conditioner... all of which can be found at your local beauty supply store or Sally's Beauty supply. You also want to make sure that you stay away from too much blow drying. High amounts of heat will break your hair if you have the bleach blonde streaks. I usually do a roller wrap or occassionally flat ironing and I do fine. You also want to be sure to keep your ends well trimmed. Too many split ends will lead to overall breakage. Keep your hair hydrated with a light oil moisturizer or oil sheen. If you think your hair is shedding after the color treatment there is this stuff called Afogee (not sure if i spelled that right). It works really well with strengthening your hair. Hope this helped, but if you or your beautician don't think your hair is healthy enough to maintain during this process, maybe you should wait! use a color glaze that's opposite the color of ur highlights.. if ur highlights are blonde-ish then use a brown glaze... if its brown or any other dark color then use a blonde one...

if u're afraid the glaze will make your whole head darker or lighter.. then use a mascara wand to apply the glaze in areas where the highlights are placed... use the glaze in about 5 times and it should darken or lighten your current highlights...
