i want to use bleach that you clean your clothes with to dye a couple strands of my hair, blonde, nothing real noticible. will the bleach take out the color and will it actually work?

It will work but it will kill your hair just go to the store and but the high lightening box of hair dye.

OMG! NO! That will burn your scalp!
If you want to bleach your hair i would recommend you to go to a beauty supply store like Sallys and Ask for a bleaching kit. Be careful though because bleach tends to bleed on hair if you don't know how to apply it. I would probably recommend you to go to a Salon. Because you probably end up spending more doing it your self than paying someone( since you say that you only want a few.) Other wise you'll end up paying more to get it fix if something is to go wrong.good luck !
