Are highlights on long, curly hair a good idea?

What do you guys think? Can it be pulled off? Specifically if the natural hair is medium/dark brown, and has loose curls(not tight, I mean)?

Oh, highlight choices are brown into orange, red, or blonde.

I think highlights are great. Curly hair tends to be a little dull looking in the light (I'm told this is because the curls suck the light in, light doesn't bounce off like straight hair).

I have red curly hair and highlight mine with blonde, I think any of the colours you mention would look good

u could, but if you're going too far away from ur natural color (2 to 3 shades) don;t do it at home, go to a pro

i think hi-lights look better on girls with wavy/curly hair because it looks much more random %26amp;%26amp; interesting than on a girl with straight hair.

I have a curly hair with highlights but make sure that ur highlights r thick not thin since u have curly hair it might not show unless u blow dry ur hair .... my advice is , don't make ur highlights too bright and if u want u can only have highlights around ur face, to frame ur face or , u can have highlights all over but keep it on the low , u will like the results trust me

Um I think highlights look really good on curly hair considering I have long curly hair and I have Brown hair w/ red and blond Highlights and i love it. but let me tell you, curly hair is very fragile which I had to find out the hard way. the chemicals in the curly hair causes it to dry out more and break easily which can give you more of a dry frizzy look IF you don't take care of it w/ color treated shampoo and conditioner and keep it all around moisturized. I think it's very pretty! I have long curly hair and it's very dark and I put bronze highlights in it. If I say so myself it looks just fine, I've gotten many complements on it.

I don't think any crazy highlights are a good idea these days.. But if you do want to get them, make sure they look natural. Not big and bold. I would do small and subtle just enough to look like you spent some time in the sun.
