i have black/dark brown hair and i want to get highlights. what color highlights should i get. i want them to look natural so no blue or anything like that. also, whats the diffrence between a full head of highlights and a half head of highlights?

Okay.....i definately think you should get carmel they look great with dark hair if its your first time getting streaks i suggest.....a horseshoe(type) because if you dont like it you wont have to redye your whole head......just get the front part fixed professionally done....my daughters got hers done back in february and they(carmel) are still bright and pretty ......(look new) also Forget about getting red......its fades away very fast........faster then all of the others........and i know your doubting a carmel color in dark hair but its really really really pretty

a nice dirty blonde. Darn though because I was reading the question and I was thinking red but then at the end it said a natural look so boo hoo no red.
