I have highlights over light brown hair, my roots are showing could i tint it blonde?

i have had highlights done for about 2 months, its pretty blondish with golden and platinum tones, my roots are showing and i dont want to highlight anymore - would a normal salon tint do the trick and give me my over all blonde look?

Let your natural color grow out and forget the dyes until you start turning grey.

Your best to go to a salon. I used to do my own hair for years and in the last two I have went to a salon and my hair has improved in its health 10 times over. Yes you can use a bleach product to get a all over blonde but you may end up with some damage to your hair. I guess they call them professions for a reason.

I think you could, but if you are going to a salobn, they will let you know, bou I am sure, you can do it. Hope your hair looks nice. take care.

Color does not lift color, you must bleach, then use a toner..

Blond color will make you have several different colors in your hair.Unwanted colors...

Use bleach on new growth through foiling or using a highlight cab. This is the best way to make it all blend in color and placement of your actual highlights.Tone it with the shade blond you desire.

Are you saying you want to put a tint over the whole lot? Or just the roots?

It depends how light your natural colour is, to how light it will lift only using a tint.

"light brown" can be many different shades so it's hard to tell what yours is.

Tints tend to look a little yellow and your re-growth will look a lot worse than it does with the highlights because you'd have a solid line of colour when it grows.
